MALCOLM
S. ROBINSON
Malcolm S. Robinson, native of Chicago, Illinois, formerly worked
in the Law Department of SCOR Reinsurance Company in Dallas,
Texas from 1979 to 1984. SCOR is an American subsidiary of a
French reinsurance company. He reached the position of Vice
President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
In 1984, Malcolm S. Robinson went into the private practice
of law and is co-founder and partner in the law firm of Robinson
& Hoskins L.L.P. in Dallas, Texas.
A
1975 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, Mr.
Robinson is licensed to practice in the states of Illinois and
Texas. Currently, he serves as the 60th President of the National
Bar Association, a 77-year-old organization of approximately
20,000 African American attorneys, judges, legal scholars and
law students from across the United States and throughout the
world.
Locally,
Mr. Robinson is immediate past chairman of the Dallas Convention
and Visitors Bureau, where he served from 1998-2000. He is also
past Chairman of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, which
is the oldest and largest Black Chamber of Commerce in the United
States, established in 1926. Mr. Robinson served as Chairman
for three years (1990-1992) and currently serves on the Board
of Directors and in the capacity of General Counsel.
Mr.
Robinson is also past Chairman of the Greater Dallas Crime Commission,
past chairman of the Board of Trustees of the State Bar of Texas
Insurance Trust and member of the Dallas Together Forum, where
he served as past co-chair of the Southern Sector Initiative.
He is also a past member of the Board of the North Texas Commission
and is member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.
