year, the NBI Golf and Tennis Tournaments will be held
on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the Plum Hollow Country
Club. Continental breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. Lunch and
awards ceremony are at noon. Gunshot start is at 8:00
a.m. Cost is $200 for golf, $75 for tennis. Lee Elder
will be joining us again as our celebrity golfer!”

What
is the National Bar Institute?
The
National Bar Institute, Inc. is a tax-exempt corporation
organized under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue
Code. It was established in 1982 by members of the National
Bar Association. The primary purpose of the National Bar
Institute is to ensure that the National Bar Association
continues to lead the legal struggle for equal justice under
law. To accomplish this goal, the National Bar Institute
has established the following objectives:
- To
provide scholarships to deserving African American law
students.
- To
fund law student projects that enhance the quality of
legal education.
- To
sponsor public forums where important legal issues are
presented to the general public.
- To
publish scholarly writings on important cutting-edge legal
subjects.
- To
raise, receive and administer funds to support the charitable
and educational goals of the National Bar Association.
