CALL TO ASSEMBLE IN WASHINGTON D.C. TO VOICE OPPOSITION
TO THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S POLICY ON AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

NBA is calling all members to participate in the following

at THE SUPREME COURT BUILDING, One First Street, N.E.
…express united voice against the Bush Administration's
policy on Affirmative Action in Higher Education
MARCH
31, 2003, 2:00-5:00 p.m. : EMPOWERMENT THROUGH LAW
AND JUSTICE AGENDA FORCE RETREAT at GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY
LAW CENTER
…address mandates of the Task Force and discuss specifics
of the Michigan lawsuits and their implications
MARCH
31, 2003, 9:00 p.m.: CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL at THE SUPREME
COURT BUILDING
…voice opposition to recent reversal of college and universities'
Affirmative Action policy
APRIL
1, 2003, 7:00 a.m.: NBA MASS ASSEMBLY at THE SUPREME
COURT
…meet outside the Capital South Metro Station (355 First
Street S.E.) and walk to the Supreme Court Building to join
national wide assembly. All NBA members are asked to wear
Black suits, white shirts, red ties and red/black/green
ribbons
MARCH ON April 1, 2003
…organize a short march to your local court houses for short
speeches about the oral arguments before the Supreme Court.
Encourage solidarity by wearing Black suits, white shirts,
red ties and red/black/green ribbons.
