NBA President Patricia Rosier Calls for 5,000 Attorneys to Participate in Historic 50th Anniversary of March on Washington

NBA PRESIDENT PATRICIA ROSIER CALLS FOR 5,000 ATTORNEYS TO ATTEND THE HISTORIC MARCH ON WASHINGTON

The National Bar Association (NBA) is proud to announce its partnership with fellow civil rights organizations and other committed advocates of labor, health, housing, education, civil and human rights to work together to take the messages of economic justice, and leveling the playing field in areas of access to healthcare, education, job and career opportunities back to Washington, DC, as did Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. some 50 years ago this August. More than a re-enactment, this is an opportunity to push forward our continued demand to pay attention to the crises that entangle the communities in which we live and work. It is only fitting that the National Bar Association join this March on Washington to ensure that the world knows we carry this same message and are unwilling to rest on the laurels of those who came before us.

Please join us in Washington DC on August 24th as we continue to build on our legacy of service, advocacy, and leadership, with the commemoration of the March on Washington as a springboard for a nationwide campaign designed to take on issues such as stand your ground laws, voting rights, judicial vacancies and obstructionism and school-to-pipeline issues.

To sign-up to be counted as one of 5,000 attorneys to participate in this historic event, please click here.

Volunteers and participants of the March on Washington (MOW) please come to the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium located at 1301 Constitution Ave NW  Washington, DC 20240 between 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. to pick up signs and take to distribute as you make your way to the Lincoln Memorial. The entry to the MOW will be at 17th Street. Participants who plan to march and/or volunteer please remember to wear a red shirt.
